The Israeli military is massing near the border ahead of an expected Gaza ground offensive, after the Islamist-militant group Hamas’ terror attack on Israel which killed 1,300. There’s been no let up in retaliatory airstrikes on the Gaza strip which is one of the most densely populated areas in the world. Palestinian officials say more than 1,500 people have been killed. The Israeli military has ordered approximately 1.1 million people to relocate to the south of Gaza. The UN says movement on that scale would be impossible without devastating humanitarian consequences.
