For 2024, there are some short-term tailwinds for the Canadian dollar as central banks cut rates and the US dollar falls broadly, says Adam Button, chief currency analyst, Forexlive. Button predicts a 5 per cent to 6 per cent uptick in the loonie in the second half of the year.
