Syria Alleges Israeli Missiles Hit Latakia Port in a Rare Attack Targeting Vital Facilities

Syrian military has alleged that Israeli warplanes fired missiles on the port of the coastal city of Latakia. Syrian state media claims at least 5 Israeli missiles struck the port in the wee hours of December 7. The attack reportedly targeted the port’s container yard, causing a number of containers to catch fire. Several fire engines reportedly rushed to the port to control the blaze.
