Prime Minister Scott Morrison has announced $282 million of further investment in two major streams of work within Darwin in the Northern Territory.
“The first one is $160 million on capability improvements through 34 specific projects,” Mr Morrison said on Friday.
“In addition to that, there’s a $122 million in maintenance and servicing roles and jobs that have been done here, in Darwin, establishing this as a service base that will support around 200 tradies.”
He said the government has $8 billion worth of investment in the Northern Territory.
“It’s very important that we invest in the capability here, in our north, and that’s what our government has done, in season and out.”
