Sky News host Chris Kenny says the parliamentary apology was “just another day” of advancing an agenda of “perpetual crisis” in politics.
“Just what purpose all this serves is something that confounds me,” Mr Kenny said.
“It is the triumph of gesture over policies, emotion over practical solutions and real-world politics.
“I call it virtue-signalling – it doesn’t actually get anything done.”
