Inflation Skyrockets After Croatia Adopts Euro Currency

Increase in Inflation after adopting the Euro Currency

Croatia has seen a sudden increase in inflation after adopting the Euro currency, which has left citizens in shock as the prices of basic necessities have gone up by 10-20%. Many believe retailers are using the situation to unfairly hike prices and the government is taking action by fining 250 stores. However, more inflation may be on the horizon with some Croatian telecoms announcing plans to hike prices soon.
